What You Can Do to Achieve Healthy Upholstery

  • Dust and vacuum. In order to minimize the amount of PBDEs in your home, it is a good idea to dust and vacuum on a regular basis. Vacuum your carpets using a HEPA filter and use a damp mop on your floors and furniture to remove dust.
  • Wash your hands. Regularly washing your hands, especially before eating, will help limit harmful toxins from getting into your body. It is also a good idea to avoid eating on the sofa.
